Local fashion industry expected to see better days
FASHION industry is set for better prospects ahead, as consumers may go for “revenge shopping” after being stuck at home for so long and are going to refresh their wardrobes.
Anne Karim London founder and creative director Ida Fauziana Karim noted that consumers took a pause buying new clothes between early to mid-2020 as work-from-home (WFH) order was implemented.
“But as we are seeing that many countries are opening up again, work is returning to the office or even people continue socialising and having meetings through Teams or Zoom calls, consumers are going back to work and casual wear again.
“I do believe all of us want our life to go back to normal and the same goes to what we wear on a daily basis,” she told The Malaysian Reserve (TMR).
